Tears flowed freely as hundreds of people who turned up at the Taman Ibu Kota Muslim cemetery here to bid their final farewell to eight-year-old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin.
Nurin, a Standard Two pupil of SK Desa Setapak, went missing on Aug 20 after she went to a night market near her home alone.
She was last seen being dragged into a white van by a man.
On Monday, a book distribution company employee found a sportsbag under a flight of stairs in a row of shophs in PJS1/48, Petaling Utama, and brought it into the shop thinking that it belonged to her boss.
Her boss later opened the bag and found the naked body of a girl. Police found bruises on her neck, suggesting strangulation and signs of sexual assault.
